Dr. Pollard grew up in Des Moines and attended Dowling High School, now Dowling Catholic. He received his bachelor’s degree from Loras College in Dubuque. He went on to receive his D.D.S. from the University of Iowa in 1977. After graduation, Dr. Pollard moved to Boone where he practiced for 31 years. Dr. Pollard is an adjunct professor for the University Of Iowa College Of Dentistry. He has been doing this since 1979 and enjoys teaching senior dental students for five week rotations in our Ames, and Ankeny offices. In his spare time Dr Pollard likes to stay active by running, swimming and working out. He is a four time finisher of the Hawaii Ironman world triathalon competition. He also enjoys spending time with his children and grandchildren.
